Dutch Man Wants To Legally Change His Age

The man wants to lower his age by twenty years to do better on Tinder

Some people just lie about their age, a man from Holland wants to legally change his.

Emile Ratelband, a media personality and motivational speaker, finds his actual age of 69 very limiting and has filed a lawsuit to have it legally lowered by twenty years.

“You can change your name. You can change your gender. Why not your age?” Ratelband told the daily Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

Ratelband is wishing to change his date of birth from the 11th of March 1949 to the 11th of March 1969. The real question is: if you’re going to change your date of birth, why not go all out and change the month as well? Find out what it’s like to be a November kid.

At least he didn't change his age to Forever 21!

Ratelband thinks his actual, real current age is limiting, especially when it comes to trying to find a date online.

“When I’m on Tinder and it say I’m 69, I don’t get an answer. When I’m 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position,” Ratelband theorizes.

Every old single guy racing to court!

Ratelband is a pensioner and has said that if he does get to legally change his age, he will stop claiming the pension.

Ratelband, who has referred to himself as a “young god”, has taken the matter to court in the city of Arnhem and is expected to get a ruling on the case in the next four weeks.

“When I’m 69, I am limited. If I’m 49, then I can buy a new house, drive a different car. I can take up more work,” he said.

We’ll just have to wait for the court’s ruling to find out whether Ratelband gets to drive whatever car it is that he thinks 49-year-olds are allowed to drive that 69-year-olds aren’t.
