South Park Creators Try To Get Show Cancelled

In a new teaser trailer, it appears that South Park is trying to get itself cancelled

South Park has never shied away from being controversial. From criticising Mormonism, all the way to making fun of our national hero Steve Irwin.

But this new attempt is a fresh way to stir up controversy, and for once, without offending anyone… yet. They’re trying to get the show cancelled.

In a 15-second teaser trailer for its 22nd season, a narrator says “America has reached a crossroads. What will we do next?” Then the words #CancelSouthPark appear across the screen.

According to some, this might just be the saddest South Park news since Kenny died again.

Even if the show did get cancelled, Trey Parker and Matt Stone would have to pay a hefty price for breaking their contracts, since the show has already been renewed for a 23rd season!

However, it appears that some fans are taking the campaign seriously.

If their previous controversies have allowed them to remain on television, then they’ll need to do something pretty outrageous. Maybe they should get their voice actors to Tweet something while on Ambien. Or here’s a crazy idea- they could just not sign their contracts.

If fans are genuinely worried, there might only be one way to ensure the show stays on the air- by whining like Cartman.

Audience reactions summed up.
