Twin Sisters And Twin Brothers Get Married By Twin Ministers... in Twinsburg

I’m seeing double – four happy couples!

Here’s a story of people finding their two true loves.

On Saturday, twin sisters Briana and Brittany Deane, 32, said “we do” to twin brothers Jeremy and Josh Salyers, 34, at a ceremony aptly held in Twinsburg, Ohio.

The ceremony was officiated by identical twin ministers, who probably should be referred to as ‘twinisters’.

The joint ceremony was part of the 2018 Twins Day Festival, which was where the couples first met, one year ago.

The sisters, who until now have lived in Virginia, have been going to the annual event since 2011, but the Maryland-based brothers’ first time was last year.

“So they lucked out, because we met them their first year”, Brittany (Josh’s new wife) said in a video posted prior to the wedding on the website of TLC, the production company which is making an hour-long special about the couples.

(I guess that means they’re not signing up for the next season of Wife Swap.)

The wedding was themed Twice Upon A Time, and Briana told PEOPLE that they considered it a double fairy tale come true.

“Marrying twins is something that’s very important to us.”

Brittany added that the men have always shared the same dream.

“If they couldn’t find identical twin girls that matched up well with them, they were never getting married. I think that they experienced a lot of the same challenges dating what we call singletons, that means non-twins. It’s hard when you’re dating someone and they don’t understand the twin bond.”

Speaking as a singleton, it’s not clear to me how the couples decided who paired up with who, but they not only ended up all meeting at the same time towards the end of last year's festival.

The men also proposed at the same time - this year on the 2nd of February. (2/2, get it?)

The main thing is that everyone managed to recognise their appropriate true love, even through the veils, and the weddings went off without a hitch.

Actually that’s not true, they all got hitched.

Hopefully they didn’t have to sit through two identical father-of-the-bride speeches.

There’s no doubt the couples intend to remain close. They sisters say they’re excited to all live in the same house and raise a family that are far closer than most – with a peculiar twist.

“When we have children, my and Josh’s children will be genetic siblings to Briana and Jeremy’s children,” Brittany says. “Even though they’re cousins, they’re technically genetic siblings. We imagine it will be like two moms and two dads all raising our families together.”

Perhaps they could even wind up with a new set of twins just by synchronising pregnancies.
