5 Seconds Of Summer Are All Grown Up With A Whole New Sound

They're back and ready to rock the charts.

The boys of 5 Seconds of Summer have come a long way since they skyrocketed to stardom back in 2014 with their hit single She Looks So Perfect.

Now, four years later with their third album Youngblood set to drop June 22, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin dropped into The Project to discuss everything from their latest sound to their Meet You There tour, which kicked off May 24.

Appearing on the show Tuesday night sporting new Ameri-stralian accents, the boys revealed that their newest album will feature a more mature sound than their previous releases, with Mikey saying:

This record is so different from what we've done before... I think no one was expecting us to take this route when it comes to what we could have evolved into musically... It feels like we're promoting our first record again because we're so determined to make this as successful and as good as it can be.

And while the quartet now call Los Angeles home, they proved they're still Aussie larrikins at heart when Calum and Mikey -- along with Nova's Fitzy and Wippa -- stitched up 2GB's Ray Hadley by pretending to be an up-and-coming country duo called The Summer Brothers, with hilarious results.

The album's lead single, Want You Back, was released on 22 February 2018, and the title track, Youngblood, dropped as a promotional single on April 13.
