Man Filmed 'Pretending To Slip' On Ice Accused Of Insurance Fraud

A man could be skating on very thin ice after he was caught on camera appearing to pretend to slip on the floor of a New Jersey kitchen.

The 57-year-old, identified as Alexander Goldinsky in a press release from the New Jersey prosecutor's office, is shown in the video throwing a cup of ice on the floor. He appears to check to see if anyone is around before throwing himself to the ground.

He then allegedly laid on the floor of the business located in Woodbridge, New Jersey, until he was discovered, claiming he had been injured as a result of the 'accident'.

If found guilty of the accusations, Goldinsky is in for harsh treatment according to the prosecutor for Middlesex County,  New Jersey, Andrew C. Cary.

"Fraudulent claims cost everyone and we will aggressively prosecute those who illegally manipulate the system," said Carey.

He had reportedly been subcontracted to perform work at the company before the 'slip' was filmed.

Its alleged Goldinsky filed a false insurance claim for the ambulance service as well as treatment for injuries he sustained in the 'fall'.

He was arrested and charged in January and is scheduled to appear in New Brunswick Superior court on February 7.

Woodbridge Township police were contacted but were not available for comment.
