Dozens Of Puppies Rescued From Pet Store Fire
A disaster was narrowly averted when good Samaritans helped rescue 86 puppies from a fire at a pet store.
Emergency services were called to the store -- in the US state of Connecticut -- about 9 pm on Thursday and immediately began working to rescue the little animals trapped inside.
Alerted by the commotion outside the store, some civilians rushed from nearby restaurants to aid fire fighters. Others stopped their cars on the street and came to help.
The fire fighters and civilians united, all working together to carry the animal's cages from the burning building to safety.
Thankfully, all 86 puppies were saved.
Authorities are still investigating how the fire started.
