Man Sues Random Woman To Get Her Identity

It's a 'love' story you couldn't make up.

Boy sees girl, falls in love, skips work for seven weeks in the hopes of seeing her again, doesn't, sues her to track her down.

This has happened, people.

According to Chinese news platform Pear Beijing, a Chinese man, known only as Sun, bumped into a woman in a Beijing bookstore back in September.

Sun said he instantly fell in love with the yellow-hoodie-wearing-woman, but she was swept up in a crowd of shoppers before he had a chance to talk to her.

For the next 50 days, Sun skipped work and returned to the bookshop, hoping to catch a glimpse of her again. He even borrowed money from his family and friends to sustain a living.

He didn't find her.

In a last desperate attempt to track the woman down, Sun filed a lawsuit at the local Dongchen Courthouse on December 10. Believe it or not, he tried to sue the woman for giving him 'emotional distress'.

"On the afternoon of the Mid-Autumn Festival, a girl appeared on the first floor of Wangfujing Bookstore wearing a tight yellow jacket, incarnadine stockings, medium-long blonde hair that had inward curls and wearing headphones," Sun said in the document, adding that the girl was so beautiful that "nobody would talk to her".

The documents asked for the court to "please issue a public notice to the defendant … to request her to appear in court to confront the plaintiff".

Thankfully, the court turned down Sun's case, but worryingly, he says he has not given up hope.

The story has received A LOT of attention, but there's no word on whether the woman has caught wind of his love for her.

It's not the first time a bizarre 'love' story has gone viral. In 2016, a Dutchman waited over ten days at a Chinese airport, in the hopes of meeting his online girlfriend.

He ate nothing but instant noodles and slept sporadically on airport benches until he was forced into a hospital due to physical exhaustion.

As it turned out: his girlfriend had no idea he was waiting in the first place.

"One day he sent me a photo of air tickets abruptly and I thought it was a joke," she told Hunan TV.

"He didn't contact me later."
