Father Makes Bully Daughter Walk Eight Kilometres To School

Old school parenting at its finest.

A father in Ohio, USA has made his daughter walk to school after she was suspended from the bus for bullying.

Kirsten, 10, was told she couldn't ride the bus to school for three days after she was found bullying other students for the second time.

Her father Matt Cox made her walk eight kilometres to school while he followed her in a car. He also posted a video of her carrying out her punishment to social media, which attracted over 15 million views and thousands of comments.

In the video, Kirsten is seen trudging along the road, carrying her backpack and other school supplies on a crisp two-degree morning.

Cox commentates in the video, sharing his views on "life lessons" and '#HOLDOURKIDSACOUNTABLE'.

"Bullying is unacceptable," Cox said in the video.

"This is my small way of trying to stop it in my household.

"I am doing what I feel is right to teach my daughter a lesson and to stop her from bullying."

Cox also said his punishment for his daughter will ensure she learns to appreciate privileges that she otherwise might have taken for granted.

"I know a lot of you parents are not going to agree with this and that's alright," Cox said.

According to US media outlet WTVG, Cox broke Kirsten's eight kilometre walk up over the three days she was suspended from the bus.

One thing is for sure, little Kirsten will never take a bus ride to school for granted ever again.
