'There's No Way He's Going To Win': Michelle Obama On Barack's Presidential Bid
Former US first lady Michelle Obama has weighed in on Barack Obama's ambition to become President.
Speaking in London, Michelle revealed that deep down, she didn't think her husband would be elected to the office of President.
"One of the reasons why I agreed to support Barack's run for president was that deep down I was like 'there's no way he's going to win,'" Obama said.
"And we can just sort of get this out of the way and I could be that supportive wife going 'Oh honey, you tried. Okay now let's go back to our lives as usual'.
"That was my whole plan, you know, because I didn't believe that America was ready for a black President, let alone a black President named Barack Hussein Obama."
Of course, Barack went on to serve two terms as America's President before Donald Trump took over in January 2017.
