Lion Around And Living Their Best Lives

The lions at London Zoo can't get enough of their custom made catnip.

Meet Heidi, Indi, Rubi and their leader Bhanu.

They are the pride of Asiatic lions at ZSL London Zoo, and have proven that even though they look tough, they are just as playful as domestic cats.

To mark the changing of the season, the family of big cats were treated to couture catnip -- a warming mixture of Autumn leaves, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves to entice some play for the pride of lions.

The keepers have jokingly labeled the custom creation as 'Pumpkin Spice Flavour' and the usually ferocious beasts, couldn't resist a roll and a play in the scented pile.

There are only around 600 Asiatic lions left in the wild, so it's only fitting these rare feline's get some special treatment.

Enticed by the intoxicating aroma of the special blend, the frisky felines licked the leaves, rubbed their faces into the pile and waved their paws around as they indulged in what looked like total bliss.
