More Than 100 Missing Children Found In Sex Trafficking Bust

A sex trafficking bust has found 123 children as part of a one-day push to locate missing kids and other victims

Michigan Law Enforcement groups said Operation MISafeKid found the victims on September 26 in the largest sweep for children in the area.

The operation had 301 case files for missing children open before they engaged in the one-day sweep. All children found were interviewed by authorities about being victimised sexually or being used in sex trafficking rings.

So far, three of those interviewed have been identified as possible youth sex trafficking cases.

Outside of Michigan, MISafeKid has obtained information about missing children in other states including Texas and Minnesota.

Following the operation's success in finding so many missing children in one day, police said they are determined to find as many children as possible.

“The message to the missing children and their families that we wish to convey is that we will never stop looking for you,” the US Marshals Service told the New York Post.
