Australia Destroy England To Become World T20 Champs

Australia has won the 2018 World T20 beating England easily in the final.

England were bowled out for 105 just short of 20 overs, despite an indifferent Aussie performance in the field that quite frankly included a couple of absolute fielding howlers. They got the runs easily.

It started like this. Very serious faces.

Meg Lanning, Captain of Australia and Heather Knight, Captain of England, locked in a deadly "I won't smile first" competition.

And ended with joy all around for the Aussies.

Australia was in its fifth straight World T20 final and has now won the tournament four times.

Ash Gardener was named player of the final for her three wickets and unbeaten 33. Alyssa Healy was hot and cold in the final, but was rightly named player of the tournament.

Our women are officially awesome. That's the main take-out from this tournament.

And for the last time, for those who missed it, this was the GREAT FUN CHAT we had with bowling superstar Megan Schutt before the tournament.
