Stu From The Bachelorette Fought Sonny Bill Williams And They Both Won
In what was undeniably the fight the country had been gearing up for all weekend, Bachelorette winner Stu Laundy and All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams have gone toe-to-toe in the ring.
And for an entire four rounds -- none of this knocked-out-in-90-seconds business Jeff Horn and Anthony Mundine served up on Friday.
But in the end, the real winner was charity.
Raising money for homeless support charities the Exodus Foundation and Auckland City Mission, the pair threw a few real punches among what was mostly play-acting in the 'Banger Under The Hanger' event on Saturday night.
Williams, who has a 7-0 professional boxing record, even put his "opponent" -- who won Sophie Monk's heart in her season of The Bachelorette -- through a lifting tackle.
The rugby star was counted out by the referee at the end of the four two-minute rounds, but both contestants were declared the winner at the end of the bout.
“I just want to commend Stu and everyone here for making this great night possible, we raised some good money for the serious cause that it was,” Williams said after the fight.

“This (night) can’t happen without him,” Laundy said of Williams.
“Sonny, you’re a lifelong friend, thankyou. A couple of those punches really hit me. I hid it pretty well but they got me.”
