Oh Mo! Liverpool FC's Mohamed Salah Immortalised In Questionable Bust

Salah Or A Cauliflower?

A bust of talismanic Liverpool forward Mo Salah is on display at the World Youth forum, however it is attracting exactly the wrong kind of attention.

The Egyptian winger has had a hell of a time since his $65 million move to the north of England from Italian side Roma. He was the top scorer and player of the year in the English Premier League and won the Puskas award for the best goal of the year.

But this won't go down as a great Mo Salah highlight.

Created by Egyptian sculptor, Mai Abdel Allah, the statue depicts Salah celebrating a goal. Unfortunately it has some unusual features.

The forward, who finished third in this year's world player of the year awards isn't the first footballer to receive a questionable likeness.

Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo was also the recipient of a sculpted bronze. The infamous statue was unveiled on Ronaldo's home island of Madeira in 2017.

The above bust has since been replaced after it was the recipient of vast amounts of mockery on social media.

As with most stories of this nature, the internet has done what it does best: laugh at it. Some of the more flattering comparisons go to Kate Winslet, Art Garfunkel and Margaret Thatcher.

One thing's for sure however. He looks nothing like himself...
