This 7-Year-Old Just Destroyed A Stadium With Her Incredible Anthem

Phew. The universe is all good again.

Fresh from the unfortunate anthem stuff-up of the year, a young American singer has rescued the art of anthem-singing and sent America into paroxysms of pure joy with a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner that was just...

Oh, you don't need us to describe it. Take it away, Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja...

Did the hairs not stand up on the back of your neck as you watched that? Did not the tiny mites who live on those hairs applaud wildly too?

From the deep growly voice to the impossible high notes, this self-described "singer, actor, model and anthem girl" nailed every last damn note.

The young vocalist had won a competition for the right to sing at the La Galaxy vs Seattle Sounders Major League Soccer game, and then posed with star Galaxy signing Zlatan Ibrahimović.

After she sang, no one applauded more enthusiastically than Ibrahimović. Perhaps inspired by the young songstress's flawless notes, he scored the first goal of the game from the penalty spot after just nine minutes. The Galaxy eventually won 3-0.

"There is no way that this game lives up to this," one commentator said after the extraordinary anthem, and although there was nothing wrong with the game, he was basically on the money.
