The Miracle Pup Who Was Euthanised But Lived

A puppy has been given a second chance at life after waking up following a euthanasia procedure, according to the shelter who rescued him.

The miraculous survival of Rudolph, who is just seven to eight months old, has gone viral after the Iowa based shelter shared his story online.

"He has quite the story," Kings Harvest Pet Rescue said on Facebook.

According to their post, Rudolph was at another shelter that was so overcrowded the vet made the decision to euthanise him.

The shelter told local broadcaster WQAD-8 the dog was given medicine to euthanise him but when vets returned to the room he was still alive

"But God had a different plan because he woke up," Kings Harvest said.

"We brought him to our shelter in hopes somebody would adopt him and give him a second chance at life".

Rudolph has won the hearts of people online, with thousands sharing his story and sending their best wishes for the miracle pup since the post was first made on Wednesday.

On Sunday the shelter also revealed the good news that Rudolph had now found his "forever home".

"It was a tough decision with so many wonderful applications but Rudolph fell in love with this young man and the feeling was mutual".

10 daily have contacted Kings Harvest for comment.
