Watch This Little Girl Try So Hard To Get Alexa To Play Her Jam
If you have access to the internet, you've most likely heard the jam.
Digital voice assistants are great but sometimes you need a little help to get your message across.
The video of an adorable little girl trying to get Amazon's virtual assistant Alexa to play her favourite song is doing the rounds. And unsurprisingly, the song is 'Baby Shark' -- the catchy tune that's been drummed into parents' brains across the globe.
After a few of the child's attempts to ask Alexa to "play Baby Shark" -- which she adorably pronounces closer to "sherk"-- the voice-powered device takes a guess and plays Say Anything's 'Sure Baby...Hold Back' instead.
"Alexa! Alexa!" the little girl interrupts, before demanding her request again, this time getting almost what she asked for with a sample of one of the many covers of the song.
But no, we're here for the real deal.
Mum eventually stepped in to get Alexa on the same page as her daughter, and much to the child's delight, the track began to play.
The viral kids' song has been around since 2016 and was created by Pinkfong, a South Korean education company.
More recently however, it seems to have taken over the world -- or at least a quarter of the world.
The video now has more than 1.8 billion views on YouTube and even sparked its own dance challenge.
Just last month, The Late Late Show host James Corden kicked off his show with a sophisticated rendition of the song with Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner and Josh Groban. The parents' version, if you will.
