'Rope for Hope': Compassionate Kids Band Together To Help Drought Affected Farmers

The money raised helped deliver a truck load of hay to the Eastern Eyre Peninsula region, where farmers are battling dry and windy conditions.

A compassionate class of South Australian school children have banded together to help drought affected farmers within their own state.

The Year 3/4 class at Owen Primary School, north of Adelaide, felt compelled to help when studies into the drought relief interstate led them to realise there were pockets within SA also in need.

The class has made hundreds of wristbands and raised two thousand dollars through its "Rope for Hope" fundraiser.

The money helped deliver a truck load of hay to the Eastern Eyre Peninsula region, where farmers are battling dry and windy conditions.
