Man Charged After Allegedly Stalking Nine Women Over 15 Years
A man who allegedly stalked nine Gold Coast women over 15 years is due to appear in court accused of lurking outside their homes and degrading and frightening them on social media.
A Nerang man, 45, will appear in the Southport Magistrate's court on Thursday charged over the stalking of nine different women between 1999 and 2014, police say.
They will allege he sent them threatening, abusive and degrading text messages when he stalked them.
Police say he is also accused of parking his car and sitting outside the victim's homes.
"It will be further alleged he utilised fake social media to cause his victims concern and fear," Queensland police say in a statement.
They say the charges came after they had spoken with multiple women about information they had provided to police during an investigation into the sudden death of Breeana Robinson in 2013.
