Police Charge Two Men Who Allegedly Dumped Murder Victim In Wheelie Bin

Pair charged with murder after body found in wheelie bin.

An appeal for information was put out by police yesterday, leading to four people who officers believed could help in the investigation.

The body of the victim was found in a wheelie bin in the Brisbane suburb of Yeronga on Saturday evening.

Officers were called to a unit complex on Yeronga Road in Yeronga at 7pm on Saturday night.

Detective Inspector Mark Thompson says officers who responded to a resident's calls about a "bad odour coming from a wheelie bin" found a "harrowing" scene, with the body likely to have been there for up to 10 days.

Two men aged 30 and 38 have been charged with murder and is due to appear in Brisbane magistrates court later today.

Meanwhile a 27-year-old woman has been released without charge and another woman is assisting police in their investigations.
