Man Charged With The Sexual Assault Of Teenage Boy

A 49-year-old man has been charged with the sexual assault of a teenage boy in Sydney's Inner West.

Last month, police received reports the teenager had been sexually assaulted in 2017 after meeting the man online.

It is alleged the man posted an online advertisement that was answered by the 14-year-old boy, and the two met up.

Police believe the man sexually assaulted the boy on a "number of occasions" at a Dulwich Hill home in October and November 2017.

The man was arrested at a correctional facility in South Nowra on Wednesday morning,  and has been charged with four counts of aggravated sexual assault on a victim under the age of 16 and three counts of indecent assault on a person under 16 years of age.

He was issued a Future Attendance notice and remains in custody to appear in Nowra Local Court on Monday January 21 2019.
