CCTV Captures Men Spiking Woman's Drink Before Sexually Assaulting Her
Footage has emerged of the moment two men spiked a drink before forcing a woman to drink it and sexually assaulting her.
Belal Ahmed, 24, and Mizad Miah, 24, picked up the 21-year-old woman after promising to show her around an apartment she was interested in renting in Tower Hamlets, London.
But instead, Miah drove them to an off-licence shop where the men purchased alcohol while the young woman waited in the car.
CCTV footage captured the pair placing something in one of the drinks and shaking the bottle.
After returning to the car, the men forced the victim to drink the spiked alcohol by pinching her nose shut.
She then lost consciousness and was sexually assaulted by both men and raped by Miah. When she awoke hours later, she was sitting on the side of the road outside the car wearing only her vest and underwear.
The two men then drove her to the various car parks in the area in which they had discarded her clothes during the attack, before releasing her at around 3am.
She reported the attack to police the following day, with subsequent toxicology results showed MDMA has been used to spike the 21-year-old.
Ahmed and Miah were arrest at Gatwick Airport just eight days after the incident was reported.
“I would like to thank the victim for her great courage and strength in reporting this despicable incident," Detective Constable Danny Pridige said.
“She gave invaluable evidence which was vital in ensuring these two dangerous men have been taken off our streets and put behind bars. "
Miah was jailed for 13 years after being found guilty of rape, administering a substance with intent to overpower to allow sexual activity, and assault by penetration.
Ahmed was jailed for 11 years after being found guilty of administering a substance with intent to overpower to allow sexual activity and assault by penetration.
