Man Charged After Body Of Perth Woman Found In Shallow Bush Grave
Julie Anne Cooper's body was found in a shallow bush grave on Thursday.
A man has been charged over the death of Perth woman Julie Anne Cooper, whose body was found in a shallow bush grave.
Cooper, 55, was found in bushland in Ashendon in the city's south-east on Thursday. She had been missing for several weeks.
Her disappearance had been reported when family and friends could not reach her, following a number of missed appointments.
The 31-year-old man charged with her murder is known to her, police said. He will appear in court on Friday.
Cooper had last spoken to her family on August 17 when she advised she would be out of contact for two weeks.
Police had been searching for her silver 2006 Toyota Camry sedan, believing that her license plates had been changed.
"Her car, we believe, was in the possession of someone else who has been possibly involved in what may have been a lawful transaction," police said.
