A Perth grandmother is lucky to be alive after a car crashed into the front room of her house.
CCTV footage shows the car, a red Holden Commodore sedan, ploughthrough the bricked front wall of the South Lake Road home, with the ceiling collapsing on top.
The woman, who is in her 60s, was sitting in the front room at the time.
She luckily escaped largely uninjured, but was taken to Royal Perth Hospital as a precaution.
The driver, a 55-year-old man from Anketell, was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
A spokesperson for WA Police could not confirm if charges on the driver have been laid.
