Police Search For Young Man And Woman After Daylight Killing

Hunt on for pair aged in their 20s

NSW Police are searching for a young man and woman after a 30-year-old man was killed in broad daylight on a Sydney street on Friday.

It is believed the man suffered a serious head injury around midday, in the inner-west suburb of Forest Lodge.

Witnesses told police a man and woman were involved in an altercation with the victim, and police said the pair were seen running from the scene. Police quickly arrived and sealed the area, mounting a large-scale ground and air search.

"Police seized a firearm and a number of weapons; however, no shots were fired. They will undergo forensic examination," police said on Saturday.

Police have formed Strike Force Hedda to investigate the incident, and also released descriptions of two people they want to speak to in connection with the death.

"Police would like to speak to a woman described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in her early 20s, of thin build, about 178cm tall, with bleached blonde hair and dark coloured roots. She was last seen wearing a black singlet and maroon three-quarter pants," NSW Police said in a statement.

"Also, a man described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 20s, of medium build, about 178cm tall with short brown hair."
