Terror Planner Bought Molotov Cocktail Supplies

The 25-year-old bought 10 litres of petrol, glass bottles and corks.

A Queensland man who plotted to carry out a terrorist attack had bought a firearm and items to make explosives just prior to his arrest.

Agim Kruezi is being sentenced in Brisbane's Supreme Court, after pleading guilty to foreign incursion and preparing for a terror act.

He was arrested in September 2014, after counter-terror police uncovered a loaded rifle, ammunition, two machetes, and an ISIS flag at his home.

The 25-year-old had also bought 10 litres of petrol, as well as glass bottles and corks to make Molotov cocktails.

On Monday, the court heard Kruezi had planned to target police and law enforcement officers, after authorities cancelled his passport.

In March 2014, he was stopped at Brisbane's International Airport, attempting to travel to Syria to fight with rebel forces.

Kruezi will be sentenced on Tuesday.
