Man Charged With Murder Over Stabbing Death In Murrumba Downs
An "extremely distressed" 19-year-old woman was also at the scene.
UPDATE: Queensland Police have charged a 39-year-old man with the murder of former soldier Nathan Frazer.
He was arrested on Friday night after a siege in Carseldine, in Brisbane's north. He is due to fave Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.
A manhunt is underway after a man was found suffering fatal stab wounds in a Queensland street in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Police were called to the scene in Murrumba Downs about 5.45am to find the man lying in the street outside a convenience store on Blyth Road, suffering serious stab wounds.
The man, aged in his 40s, was declared dead at the scene.
An "extremely distressed" but uninjured 19-year-old woman who was with the man has been taken to a local police station, where she is assisting police with their inquiries.
It is not sure what relationship the man and the woman have to one another, or even if they were known to each other.
"Whether they're friends, whether they weren't even associates, whether they were just together is still a mystery," said Inspector Steve Flori.
Police believe a third party is involved, and are searching for that person, but at this stage have no clear idea who they are looking for.
"We've done door knocks in the nearby vicinity, which will probably be repeated shortly, but there is no one who has come up with any useful information other then people hearing someone screaming."
A homicide investigation has been launched.
