Three men have been captured on CCTV as they bravely tried to perform a citizen's arrest on an alleged jewellery thief in Brisbane.
The alleged thief was trying on gold chains at a Stones Corner business before he tried to leave without paying one of the necklaces.
He was initially stopped by the men, who threw him to the ground and attempted to subdue him, but he was able to free himself after a brutal struggle.
A 23-year-old employee and a 35-year-old customer were allegedly assaulted during the incident, and the suspect escaped on foot with a necklace.
The incident happened on May 25, but QLD Police released the footage on Friday as they continue to search for the alleged thief.
The suspect has been described as Caucasian and approximately 190 centimetres tall with a proportionate build, and was last seen running down Logan Road towards Cornwall Street.
