Police are warning pet lovers to protect their pups as dognappers target Kelpie puppies.
Police have warned dog owners to protect their furry family members after three separate dognappings in Southern NSW.
The precious Kelpie pooches were just months old when they were taken in three separate targeted thefts.
The working dogs were stolen from from rural properties in the Goulburn and Taralga area over the past three weeks.
The puppies include an eight-month-old, yellow and white-coloured male Kelpie, two five-month-old red male Kelpies and one female with a white coloured neck and front legs.
Police have warned those with puppies, especially Kelpies, to keep them secure and stay vigilant.
The sought after pups can sell for as much as $800 on sites like Gumtree and police have urged anyone who has any information to come forward.
