Three Dead, Clean Up Continues After Sydney Storm

The worst of the storms have passed but Sydney can expect showers throughout the day.

The Bureau of Meteorology cancelled its severe weather warning for the east coast at about 4.40am on Thursday morning.

Three people have died -- two people died in separate car crashes and an SES volunteer collapsed while on duty.

Majority of houses that were without power have now had it restored, while the SES received more than 4900 calls for help throughout Wednesday.
