A two-year-old boy is in a critical condition after he was found face down in a backyard inflatable pool in Sydney's west.
The boy was found by his family about 7 pm at a Ropes Crossing home, CareFlight said in a statement.
"CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided additional treatment at the scene and throughout road ambulance transport to hospital," it said.
"The child remained unconscious the medical team intubating and placing him on a ventilator to stabilise his condition."
The boy was taken to Westmead Children's Hospital.
