Will Goodings Ready To Burst On Your Screens As 10 News Adelaide Sports Presenter

There's a fresh face with a familiar voice on Adelaide's 10 News First desk tonight, as Will Goodings makes the leap from the radio airwaves to your television screens.

The FIVEaa radio anchor will join news presenter Rebecca Morse at the desk, taking up the role Nick Butler recently vacated after five years to return home to Melbourne.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining the team at 10 News First," Goodings said.

"Sport is a passion of mine and the opportunity to work on the biggest sporting stories in 2019 with the dynamic group at 10 is an incredible one.

“Continuing to watch, read, and tweet about sport but getting to call it work is pretty exciting too.”

After an 11-year career with Nova Entertainment's commercial AM talkback radio station, in roles from producing to on-air announcing, Goodings is well prepared to talk the talk on screen.

In 2015, he joined the station's breakfast show line-up alongside David Penberthy, and prior to this had a two-year stint in local politics as a senior media advisor.

Though his own experience speaks for itself, the new presenter has the game in his blood. His dad Graeme Goodings -- a veteran newsreader with more than 30 years behind a news desk which began, also, at 10 -- is proof the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree.

Ross Dagan, 10’s Network Director Of News Content, couldn't be happier with his new hire.

"I haven’t met a more enthusiastic sports fan, so he is perfect to front our sports coverage," Dagan said.

"His radio role means he is already well placed to know what matters most to the people of South Australia.”

You can watch Goodings' first Adelaide bulletin Monday night at 5pm ACDT.
