The 1970’s porno inspired video, released by The Australian Reptile Park over the weekend, shows two funnel web spiders getting it on… or breeding.

It’s the first time The Australian Reptile Park has bred funnel-web spiders to contribute to the antivenom program.

It’s also the only place in the country that milks funnel web spiders to make the antivenom. Since it was developed 33 years ago, there have been zero fatalities.

Previously, members of the public collected spiders and dropped them off at collection points for the park but some stations have since closed and with them, the number of spiders available for milking.

The Australian Reptile Park provides venom to the Commonwealth Serum Laboratories to make the antivenom and decided to start breeding funnel webs to meet the demand.

Head of Spiders and Amateur Spider Porn Videographer Kane Christensen said while park staff love funnel-web spiders, most of the time they post videos about them it tends to spark negative comments.

"Showing them in this way helps the public see their more sensitive side,” he said.

In news to all of us, spiders have a sensitive side.
