The mother of a nine-month-old baby found dead on a Queensland beach, has been charged. The 23-year-old is accused of failing to provide for the child, causing danger of death. The girl's father is facing murder charges.

NRL Player Jack de Belin has been charged with aggravated sexual assault. The 27-year-old is accused of assaulting a 19-year-old woman at an apartment in Wollongong after a night out at the weekend.

Donald Trump has broken his silence a day after his former personal lawyer was sentenced to jail. The US president claims he never directed Michael Cohen to break the law, and says Cohen's claims he did were an attempt to embarrass him.

A man has been rescued in California after becoming stuck in  a grease vent while allegedly trying to rob a Chinese restaurant. He was stuck in the vent for two days before being found.

Locals called emergency services after they heard the 29-year-old's cries for help coming from the vacant restaurant. He was covered in grease and could not move, taking rescuers almost an hour to be freed.

He was taken to hospital suffering dehydration, but is expected to make a full recovery.

Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic has successfully launched a tourism rocket ship into space for the first time. The plane reached an altitude of 82 kilometres before beginning it’s gliding descent. It’s hoped the dream of commercial space tourism will soon be a reality.
