Police Release Images Of Man Wanted Over 'Cowardly' Sexual Assault
Police believe the man may be able to assist with inquiries following a brutal sexual assault on a 51-year-old woman.
The woman was left hospitalised following what police described as a "cowardly" attack, in which she was repeatedly beaten and then sexually assaulted in Sydney's south-west.
The 51-year-old was walking along a track in Lighthorse Park at Liverpool just before midnight on November 11 when she saw a man lurking nearby.

Police said the man walked towards her as she approached the stairs to Newbridge Road, punching her in the face several times before sexually assaulting her.

The woman began screaming, alerting people nearby, who chased the offender up the stairs onto Newbridge Road, then into Terminus Street, and along a laneway onto George Street where they lost sight of him, police said on Friday.
