It looks Like Australia May Have Found Its Own 'Prison Bae'

While it's obviously a matter of taste, some thirsty comments on a recent police Facebook post would suggest we may have.

NSW Police reached out to the public for assistance on Wednesday with the search for Drew Dobson -- a 24-year-old Central Coast man with a warrant out for property and driving offences.

But from "I ain't no snitch but that's my bf" to "I want to find him now," it's safe to say those in the comments weren't overly interested in the warrant.

People were quick to compare Robson to a number of heartthrob celebrities, the most common of which seems to be a young Freddie Prince Jr.

"He looks like the love child of Keanu Reeves, John Mayer and Freddie Prince Jr," one comment read.

Joey from Friends also got a shout-out in a couple of comments, as did Brendan Urie from Panic! At The Disco.

Someone even managed to take one look at the shot and be reminded of human Shrek.

With close to 300 shares at the time of writing, the post is doing a pretty bang-up job of getting a wanted man's photo shared around the community.

But while the Facebook pages of police departments are hardly a reliable source for potential dates, the situation is not a one-off and is only a taste of the fan-fare sparked by Jeremy Meeks in 2014.

Meeks-- largely referred to as 'Prison Bae'-- went viral after his mugshot was posted online following his arrest for possession of firearms and criminal street gang activity.

Four years on and the 34-year-old is now a professional model, having been picked up by an agency as a result of the sensation his mugshot turned out to be.

Appearing regularly on international catwalks, the hot felon is also a hot dad, after welcoming a son with Top Shop heiress Chloe Green in June.
