Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Have Arrived In Australia

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have landed in Sydney ahead of their tour of Australia.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at Sydney Airport at about 7am on Monday morning on a Qantas flight from London. It was initially reported the pair arrived on a British Airways flight.

They were accompanied by a full entourage of staff and security as they walked into view of the waiting media pool.

The royal pair decided against an official welcome at Sydney airport, instead opting for a more low-key entrance where they were ushered out a back door and into a waiting car.

The pair were then driven to Admiralty House in Kirribilli via police motorcade. Harry and Meghan will rest and recuperate on Monday before they begin their official duties on Tuesday.

Their first official royal tour as a couple will include visits to Sydney, Dubbo, Melbourne, Fraser Island and to other Commonwealth countries including Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.

It all begins on Tuesday when the couple will meet Govenor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove and his wife Lady Cosgrove at Admiralty House. They will also be joined by representatives from the Invictus Games, before heading to Taronga Zoo to become antiquated with two baby koalas.

The royal pair will then catch a ferry to the Opera House where they will watch a Bangarra Dance Company performance, meet members of the public and then travel back to Admiralty House for a reception.

And that's only day one!

The royal couple said prior to their arrival that they were hoping to meet as many locals as possible. While their visit already seemed jam packed, there are plenty of chances to catch a glimpse of the royal pair.
