Winner Of $30 Million Oz Lotto Finally Found While Another's Still Out There
After ten days of searching for the lucky Oz Lotto ticket holder in last Tuesday's $30 million jackpot, the prize has been claimed.
An anonymous Sydney resident stepped forward to reap their reward after purchasing the ticket from the Pacific Square News newsagency in Maroubra in the city's eastern suburbs.
The store owner, David Zou, told Oz Lotto he was relieved his customer had finally realised they had won.
"It has been busy in store over the ten days with people checking their tickets and everyone kept asking me and asking me ‘Have you found the winner?’,” he explained.
“While I will never know who it is, I hope it is one of my regular customers and that they enjoy their multi-millionaire lifestyle!”
While Sydney may have just birthed another multi-millionaire, officials are still searching for a Tasmanian local who is sitting on their own $30 million Powerball win.
The unregistered ticket holder won the division one in Thursday night's Powerball draw 1166 but has evidently somehow missed that news.
The entry was purchased from an outlet in the surrounding suburbs of Hobart.
The winning numbers are 20, 6, 30, 17, 8, 10, 2 and the Powerball number, 8.
If any of that is ringing bells for a reader in the south, officials are urging you check your tickets as soon as possible.
