Man Dies After Falling Off A Cliff Near Popular Whale-Watching Spot
The man was found deceased in the water at Kurnell in Sydney's south.
A man believed to be in his 30s has died after falling off a cliff near a popular whale-watching spot in Sydney.
Emergency services were called to Cape Solander, Kurnell, in Sydney's south about 1.20pm on Saturday following reports that a person had fallen.
He was found face down and unconscious in the water, according to the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter.
Rescuers attempted to perform CPR, but the man was declared dead by ambulance workers who met the helicopter in a cliff top carpark nearby.
The man has yet to be formally identified.
Police described the accident as a "misadventure", and believe he may have been taking photos when he fell.
There are no suspicious circumstances. Police are continuing with their inquiries.
