Man Charged, Accused Of Kidnapping Children And 'Strangulation' Of A Woman
A 29-year-old man is accused of kidnapping four children and strangling their mother during a terrifying domestic violence incident south of Brisbane.
The man entered a home in the Logan area on Saturday and allegedly choked a woman before forcing her and four young children into a car.
The vehicle was driven around for several hours before it returned to the same address in the early evening.
The man allegedly kidnapped the children a short time later, leaving the mother behind.
Police allege the 29-year-old then rammed a police car as he fled the home before ramming a second patrol car at a petrol station in Daisy Hill at about 8.15pm.
The accused fled on foot, abandoning the children, and tried to steal a car from a 48-year-old man in Loganholme just before 9pm.
The man was taken into custody after a "violent struggle" with police.
