Man Stabbed Outside Sydney Hostel During Argument

A man has been stabbed multiple times with a knife during an argument outside a Sydney hostel.

Emergency workers were called to Orwell Street in Potts Point at about 3.30am on Sunday, police said.

A 27-year-old was found with multiple slash wounds to his back, face, shoulders and arms.

He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital where he will undergo surgery for non life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the attacker, who fled the scene was known to the injured man, after witnesses reported the two were involved in an argument just before the attack.

Police are now looking for a 37-year-old man who they believe can assist with their investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
