Couple Hospitalised After Car Reverses Into Crowd At Netball Game

Members of the public helped free a woman pinned to the fence by a reversing car.

A woman is in a critical condition after being pinned between a fence and a car at a netball ground in Sydney's south on Saturday morning.

Another man suffered head injuries after also being hit by the car. A young child who was leaning against the fence escaped with minor injuries.

The two adults were taken to St George Hospital following the incident at the netball courts in Miranda.

The Sutherland Shire Netball Association said the female driver appeared to lose control of the vehicle in the car park as she was attempting to park.

Members of the public helped free the woman trapped against the fence.

The driver is speaking with police.

The netball association announced that a number of games were postponed following the accident.
