20-Year-Old Woman Fighting For Her Life After Being Hit By A Truck in Villawood
Police are hunting for the driver of a small black truck who sped off after hitting a young woman at a pedestrian crossing.

A woman is fighting for her life after being hit by a truck that failed to stop at a pedestrian crossing in Sydney's west on Thursday night.
Just after 9.30pm, a 20-year-old woman was crossing Woodville Road when she was struck by a northbound vehicle described as a small black truck with a cage on the back.
The truck left the scene without stopping and police say the woman had a green pedestrian signal at the time.
"It's a horrific crime, the poor female was just crossing the road she was in the correct place to be doing that and she has been struck by a motorist who for some reason hasn't stopped," said Detective Acting Inspector Naomi Earle.
Police are urging the driver to hand himself in.
"The driver would be aware that he has struck somebody or something so we are seeking that person to come forward," said Earle.
The woman received serious head and leg injuries was taken to Liverpool Hospital where ten daily is told she remains in a critical condition.
"She has very serious injuries and we have grave concerns for her well being but hopefully she will pull through," said Earle.
Police have not released footage of the truck nor its registration number.
"We are viewing all CCTV footage that is available and requesting anybody who may have dash cam footage who have been in that area at the time as well."
Any witnesses or anyone with information about the truck - or the driver - are urged to contact police immediately.
