"The back by popular demand," Posen joked on Instagram. "Before the final #whiteroseofyork embroidery was placed".

"It's everything I hoped it would be!" an excited fan commented about the diaphanous gown.

"I’ve been dying to see the back of this dress! It is breathtaking!" wrote another fan of Posen and the princess.

Posen wrote about designing the historic dress the day after Eugenie and Jack's nuptials -- thanking the princess for the honour of creating the stunning gown.

"It was an incredible honor to create this dress for HRH Princess Eugenie on her wedding day," he wrote.

It was Eugenie's second gown of the day -- her silk jacquard wedding ceremony dress was designed by London based fashion house, Peter Pilotto.

Both dresses were designed to show off her scoliosis scar -- which she's had since undergoing spine surgery as a 12-year-old.

Eugenie told ITV the decision was "a lovely way to honour the people who looked after me and a way of standing up for young people who also go through this," she said of the condition.
