Chanel Launch A Luxe Range Of Men's Makeup
Finally men can look decent. Just kidding.
In one of those "why didn't they do this sooner?" moments, Chanel have just announced an amazing men's makeup line, helping to make the beauty industry that little bit more inclusive. And it's just SO stylish.
The collection will be part of Chanel's Boy division (named after Coco Chanel's lover Boy Capel), which already counts fragrance and handbags among its products. Now it ventures into men's beauty with three new designer delights: a tinted foundation, an eyebrow pencil, and a matte moisturising lip balm.
And don't worry about your colouring -- the pencil and foundation each come in different shades, so you can find your perfect match.
The lightweight foundation also has SPF 25 to protect skin from damaging UV rays and is available in eight shades. The lipbalm will nourish lips for over eight hours and is loaded with antioxidant-rich vitamins -- delish.
And as for the eyebrow pencil, well it will tame and define brows and even fill in beards for eight hours. It’s available in four shades.
“By creating Boy de Chanel, its first makeup line for men, Chanel reaffirms the ever-changing codes of an unchanging vision: Beauty is not a matter of gender, it is a matter of style,” Chanel says in the press release.
Bow down. You are SO right, Chanel.
“Just as Gabrielle Chanel borrowed elements from the men’s wardrobe to dress women, Chanel draws inspiration from the women’s world to write the vocabulary of a new personal aesthetic for men,” the statement continues.
“Lines, colours, attitudes, gestures….There is no absolutely feminine or masculine prerequisite: Style alone defines the person we wish to be.”
The line will launch in South Korea on September 1 before eventually becoming available to buy online by November. The products will then become available in Chanel Boutiques from January 2019.
