Fashion Week Australia 2018: Camilla And Marc Rule The Runway

It's been a long time coming but it was worth the wait.

Fashion Week Australia kicked off May 13 with our very own Camilla and Marc opening the event. It’s been some time since the label staged a fashion week show, five years in fact, and as it turns out it was very much worth the wait.

The range was made up of pieces that were sharp, chic and all things sophisticated leaving the FROW (that’s front row for non fashion folk) a flutter.

That FROW (it’s a fun term right?) hosted some mighty big names for the opening night including Elsa Pataky, Sylvia Jeffreys and Carmen Hamilton too. Scroll down to see some of the best outfits from the night and we’re talking about Camilla and Marc’s head-turning designs of course, but there was killer style to be seen there on the night too.

And visit us again later today and all of this week. We’ll be bringing you all of the looks plus the behind the scenes gossip and beauty looks too.

Short short dresses teamed with high high boots and in the loveliest shades and textures imaginable. Image: Getty.
Pastel pinks provide softness but the cut is uber edgy. The added super-sized tote gives the entire ensemble a pop of fun. Image: Getty.
The fabric of heaven maybe? Soft, slinky and wonderfully flattering on everyone amazingly enough. Image: Getty.
Suits were there, but they were nothing like the ones you know. The Camilla and Marc version was 100 percent futuristic thanks to added layers and architectural edges. Image: Getty.
Silhouettes were feminine with retro touches such as high necks and long sleeves. Think demure with a hint of sexy thanks to sheer overlay.  Image: Getty.
Makeup was dewy, glossy even with shimmer on the cheeks, and a touch of rose to the lips. Eyes were bare and accessories were supersized. Image: Getty.
The trench coat -- only re-imagined in a seriously chic style. The pointy-toed ankle boots only add to the effect. Image: Getty.
Navy never goes out of style -- ever. The Camilla and Marc version especially. Image: Getty.
One last look. The FROW went wild for this show and it's easy to see why. Cool, clever and inspiration wear that works for women, real women, makes this collection one to love. Image: Getty.
