Michelle Obama's Sassy Advice To Meghan Markle
Girl just got TOLD.
Former First Lady -- and everyone's hero -- Michelle Obama has offered some very practical advice to Meghan Markle on how to deal with navigating her new royal life.
During a chat with Good Housekeeping, Michelle said she thought that 37-year-old Meghan was "doing things too quickly" and needed to slow it down.
"Like me, Meghan probably never dreamt that she'd have a life like this, and the pressure you feel -- from yourself and from others -- can sometimes feel like a lot, " Michelle said.
To help cope, Michelle advised Meghan to play a longer game.
"So my biggest piece of advice would be to take some time and don't be in a hurry to do anything. I spent the first few months in the White House mainly worrying about my daughters, making sure they were off to a good start and making new friends before I launched into any more ambitious work."
The former First Lady then went on to say that as a royal, Meghan has the "opportunity to do good with a platform like that," adding that she believes Meghan can "maximise her impact for others, as well as her own happiness if she's doing something that resonates with her personally."
The Duchess of Sussex has been all over the headlines of late thanks to claims she's feuding with her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.
Of course, there's no evidence to back it up, just palace "whispers".
Michelle, meanwhile, is currently in the UK promoting her book, Becoming, in which she details her life before and during her time in the White House.
She and her husband Barack Obama have enjoyed a close relationship with Meghan's husband, Prince Harry, for many years and were regularly photographed smiling and laughing together.
