The Incredibly Relatable Thing Kate Middleton Did After Splitting With Prince William
Girl, you are all of us.
Kate and Wills might look like the perfect couple -- but there was a time in their relationship that wasn’t so peachy.
It all took place during 2001, when the pair began dating while studying at university. They dated for around five years before calling it quits.
Now a new book, The Duchess of Cambridge: How Kate Middleton Became A Future Queen, reveals that Wills started feeling “claustrophobic” in the relationship, and so went on a boys trip to Greece with his mate, Guy Pelly, for some space.
Apparently when Kate found out that Guy has organised an all-female crew for the sailing trip she began to feel “miserable”. Girl, we feel you.
But instead of calling her girlfriends and going on a wild girl’s weekend, she packed up and spent time at her parent’s house in Berkshire.
According to the book Kate then “got quite drunk on white wine and really let her guard down. She was debating whether or not she should text or call him”.
The book went on to reveal that Kate was talking about “how sad she was and how much she was missing William but never mentioned it after that”.
Clarence House has refused to comment on the claims basically saying that they won’t talk about Wills' private life. So that’s that.
Wills gave a little insight into the reason behind their split during an interview with ITV back in 2010. He said that they were “both very young” and “were sort of both finding ourselves as such”.
“It was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up,” he said.
During the interview Kate let slip that she wasn’t the one pushing for the split, saying that “at the time I wasn’t very happy about it”.
The pair ended up getting engaged in 2010 and now have three adorable children together.
