Why Today's 11:11 Date Is So Important

Life. It's a numbers game.

Today marks one of the most important days on the spiritual calendar as it will be the 11th of November -- or 11:11.

The succession of the same digit in a date or time sequence is pretty rare and, if you’re anything like the team at 10 daily, you’ve probably caught yourself at least one or twice making a wish when the clock ticked over to 11:11 in the morning.

Well, if you did or still do that, you’re onto something according to advanced numerologist Josy Curcio.

“It’s been a bit of a phenomenon over the last few years,” she told 10 daily.

"Everyone is really starting to notice the combination”.

Curcio believes that’s because as a society we’re becoming more “spiritually aware”, which makes perfect sense as to rise behind 11:11 spotting as the number 11 is known as a “master number” in numerology.

“The number 11 is the most intuitive of all the numbers,” Curcio explained.

“It represents being in tune with your true spiritual self”.

The Importance of 11:11

First, let’s get back to some numerology basics. In case you didn’t already know, everything in numerology is broken down to its most primal source. For example; if your birth date was 1st September 1995 then this is how you would get your life path number: 1 + 9 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 5 = 34.

Then you need to add 3 + 4 together which will give you 7 and that’s your life path number. This method of boiling numbers down applies pretty across all of numerology, except when it comes to master numbers such as 11, 22, 33 and so on.

This is because those master numbers have extra significance and spiritual power. The reason 11:11 is so important is because it’s the amplification of this master number -- kind of like a double hit of spiritual energy.

What 11:11 Does It Mean For You?

For Curcio, this Sunday will give all of us the opportunity to spiritually reset,  calling it an "alarm clock of awakening".

"The date is the universe demanding that you develop your intuition even more which will help you to develop a greater understanding of the bigger picture," she said.

Curcio went on to explain that on Sunday, we need to make sure we take time to really understand our true identity and to "stop pretending".

"There is this major spiritual shift taking place in society," she explained. "People are getting sick and tired of having to be perfect all the time. This shift is making all of us feel like we really want to understand and connect to our true selves and take off the mask".

How We Can Use 11:11 To Our Best Advantage

Firstly, Curcio wants us to "get out of our heads".

"You need to to really intuitively understand what you're feeling throughout the day," she said, adding that this needs to be a "natural process" and not one that we analyse or think about too much.

"You need to work with your heart because the mind isn't designed to understand things on a spiritual level," she said.

Curcio said we need to be honest with ourselves and how we're feeling, warning that most of the time the feeling "will be unpleasant".

"Most people end up feeling stuck or as if they're being suppressed," she said. "That's the universe's way of telling us that we're on the wrong spiritual path and that we need to readjust ourselves and our lives."

Curcio said that it's rare for people to feel "complete and absolute joy", but that if they do, it signifies that they're on the right spiritual path.

"Don't forget to make sure you’re a superhero on Sunday," she said.  "Think about it -- a superhero always knows what’s best for themselves. So make sure you start to do the things that are best for you and don’t lose yourself in feeling guilty".
