Prince William Reveals The Sweet Way Prince George Takes After Princess Diana
No, you're crying.
Prince William has spoken openly about his late mother, Princess Diana, revealing that his son, Prince George, has inherited her love of dancing.
The Duke of Cambridge was attending a reception for the finalists of the Radio 1 Teen Awards at Kensington Palace, when he began chatting with freestyle dance champion, Junior.
At the beginning of the chat, the prince engaged in some light banter with the 14-year-old, telling him that he “loved” street dancing, prompting his wife to jokingly correct him: “No, you love break dancing”.
That’s when Wills delivered this clanger: “No, I do break dancing where I literally just break myself”.
The Duke went on to reveal that his son, Prince George, is learning to dance.
“George is doing dancing as well and he really loves it,” he said. “My mother always used to dance -- loved dancing -- when you find something you love, you do what you love, it’s very important. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise -- you keep at it”.
Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry, have rarely spoken publicly about their late mother.
Speaking in the documentary, Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, in 2017, The Duke said that he's regularly telling his children about "Granny Diana".
"We've got more photos up round the house now of her and we talk about her a bit and stuff. It's hard, because obviously Catherine didn't know her, so she cannot really provide that, that level of detail," he said.
“So, I do regularly when putting George or Charlotte to bed, talk about her and just try and remind them that there are two grandmothers -- there were two grandmothers -- in their lives.”
